Registration of chop
When appearing in person
- Foreigners:Bring alien registration card, certificate of domicile in Korea, passport Koreans with foreign citizenship who are registered with Immigration Office: Bring chop
When registering by the applicant’s representative
- Documents to be submitted: Alien registration card, chop, certificate of chop if the chop is to be registe red by mail
- By someone who can guarantee the applicant and whose chop is registered (Korean national, foreigner, Korean with a foreign citizenship) A person of majority must a chop of another adult stamped as a guarantee of the applicant.
Where to register: City, gun, or gu where the applicant is domiciled

Issuance of certified chop
When appearing in person
- Bring alien registration card for foreigners and resident card for those who are foreign nationals but registered with Immigration Office for a stay in Korea.
When applying by the applicant’s representative
- Bring alien registration card for foreigner and resident card for those who are foreign nationals but registered with Immigration Office for a stay in Korea.
Issuing government offices: City, gun, gu offices; eup, myon, dong offices; or branch office
Fee: 600 won per copy
